About the Coordinating Center

Funded through the VA Office of Academic Affiliation (OAA), the Advanced Fellowship in Health Professions Education Evaluation and Research (HPEER) is coordinated from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) and is located within the Center for Innovations in Quality Effectiveness and Safety (IQuESt).

Program leadership is both in Houston, Texas and White River Junction. The coordinating center functions at a national level to deliver a coordinated program in educational leadership, health professions education, program evaluation and educational research. This includes a national curriculum, program evaluation, individual site support, and the coordination of an annual face-to-face conference.
